Buying Guide:
- Short Hair up to Bob Length: 1 jar/bottle – suitable for both thin and thick hair.
- Below the Shoulder up to Waist Length: 2 jars/bottles for thin hair, or 2-3 for thick hair.
- Tailbone or Longer: You'll need 3 or more jars for thin or thick hair.
How to dye your hair with Manic Panic:
- Preparation - Begin with pre-lightened (bleached) hair, ideally achieving a pale blonde shade. When applied to virgin (unprocessed/natural) hair, the results may vary based on hair texture and colour.
- Safety Note - Please refrain from using this product on eyebrows and eyelashes. In case of eye contact, promptly rinse with warm water and consult a physician.
- Lightening Recommendations - For the most accurate colour tone, we recommend pre-lightening (bleaching) your hair to a level 9 or higher level. Darker/warmer shades work best on hair that can only be lightened to a darker blonde. A level 10 platinum blonde is essential for pastel shades and all shades of grey.
- Preparation - Wash your hair with a deep cleansing/clarifying shampoo. Skip the conditioner. Dry your hair with a blow dryer to ensure it's highly porous and to remove excess water.
- Application - Apply Manic Panic Hair Colour evenly, combing through your hair to ensure thorough saturation. The mixture may froth slightly.
- Processing Time - Cover your hair with a plastic cap. Use a hair dryer during part of the processing time to open the hair cuticle and enhance colour penetration. Leave on for 30-45 minutes.
- Rinse and Style - Towel and blow dry your hair, then style as usual.
- Maintenance - Keep your vibrant hair colour by washing with a sulphate-free, colour-safe shampoo and conditioner using cool water. Remember, frequent washing will accelerate colour fading.
